I’m thrilled to share The Wayward Women not only advanced to the finals of the Winter 2025 Queens Short Play Festival, my dear friend Andrea Romano was awarded Best Director for her work on the play.
After such an enthusiastic reception by audiences throughout the festival, this was a wonderful way to close out this experience and production.

I’m excited to share my short play, The Wayward Women, has been selected to be part of the 2025 Queens Short Play Festival at the Secret Theatre. The festival runs mid-February through early March in Woodside, Queens. The Wayward Women is part of Program E, which has the following performance dates and times:
February 14 at 6:00 pm

February 27 at 8:30 pm

SYNOPSIS: The Wayward Women are one of country music's biggest, most popular acts until one fateful night when fiery lead singer Morgan makes a major political statement on behalf of the band - including Callie and Bridget - in front of 20,000 fans. The backlash is swift and merciless, giving the band’s no-nonsense, sexually adventurous manager Kate more heart palpitations than one of her infamous trysts. When an unexpected, powerful visitor (The President) turns up in their dressing room and puts even more pressure on the group (with a little blackmail on the side), this trio will have to decide whether to shut up and sing or keep speaking out. Inspired by the Three Witches from Shakespeare's MACBETH and a certain real life female country trio, this 10-minute play is a comedic look at what happens when women dare to speak truth to power and the fissures it causes among friends and foes.
