MANIFEST DESTINY at the inaugural Woodstock Short Play Festival

Manifest Destiny is headed upstate this summer to be part of the inaugural Woodstock Short Play Festival presented by White Horse Theater Company & Queen of Rogues in Woodstock, NY. The festival will be held August 7-8 at 7 pm at the Queen of Rogues Art Space on Tinker Street. Seating is very limited. Tickets may be purchased here.

I couldn’t be more excited to join this stellar roster of playwrights and actors and to see Manifest Destiny start its journey to more theaters around the country following its success at ACTF earlier this year.

Hope to see ya in Woodstock!

MANIFEST DESTINY advances to the national finals at ACTF

My short drama, Manifest Destiny, was awarded the Gary Garrison 10-min Play Award for ACTF region V (which includes universities in Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota) and has advanced to the national festival for consideration for the top award among finalists from the other 7 regional festivals.

The play had a fantastic staged reading directed and acted by students in the region including Parker Shinn (director), Raegan Weber (actor), Carlie Robertson (actor), and Saline Osborn (actor).

I traveled to Rochester, MN for the festival to collaborate with this great group, and I couldn’t be more pleased at the play’s reception by both audiences and the festival adjudicators. Region V had a terrific group of playwrights and short plays, and I feel very proud and grateful to have been chosen alongside fellow playwright Gram Coalier to represent this part of the country.
